Why Doctors Join Group Coaching (And Why It Works) | PPN Accelerator Group Coaching

Is the PPN Accelerator Worth It?

If you’re a Clinician in Private Practice and you’ve been looking at the PPN Accelerator, you’ll have questions.

Not the polite ones.

The real ones.

  • “Is this actually worth the money?”
  • “Will this actually get me patients?”
  • “Do I even have time for this?”
  • “I’ve tried marketing before… why would this be any different?”
  • “Am I going to end up looking like I’m selling out?”

I’m glad you asked…

Because if you’re serious about investing in growing your Private Practice, you need clear, honest answers to these questions.

The real cost question

It’s not what you think

Most Consultants start here:

“It’s quite expensive.”

But what they’re really thinking is:

“What if I spend this money and nothing changes?”

That’s the real fear, and it’s a valid one.

In fact, many Clinicians say exactly that before joining:

“It crossed my mind that I might be throwing money away…”

But what tends to happen is very different:

“…it’s probably been one of my shrewdest private practice investments.”

Here’s the part most people miss.

If you spend another 12 months:

  • undercharging
  • being unclear in your online messaging
  • relying on inconsistent referrals or depending on insurers for work
  • continuing to playing it small, doing private work ‘on the side’

You’re not staying the same.

You’re losing money. Every unfilled clinic slot is lost revenue, and the longer you take to ‘get there’, the more it’s costing you.

The investment maths is simple.

Just one or two additional self-pay patients per month covers the cost of programme.

Everything beyond that is upside.

Which is why our clients achive outcomes like:

  • a London-based Consultant Oncologist who left the NHS, growing his website traffic from under 200 to over 11,000 visitors per month (organically), and more than doubled his private income, all in under six months

  • a Consultant Urologist who droppedlow-paying insurers entirely after building a consistent flow of self-pay patients travelling from across the UK to see him

  • a Consultant Cardiologist who replaced his most demanding NHS sessions and all of his on-call, by doubling his private income and significantly reducing his number of working hours

  • a Consultant Neurologist who exited the NHS completely after building her highly niched Private Practice, just four months into coaching

So the real question isn’t:

“Can I afford this?”

It’s:

“How much is it costing me to stay where I am?”

“I don’t have time for this”

That’s a fair concern.

Most clinicians are already working very full days, with Private Practice being squeezed in around everything else.

What most clinicians are really experiencing isn’t a fundamentally a lack of time.

It’s a lack of:

  • structure
  • clarity
  • efficient systems

That’s exactly how many people describe the starting point:

“I didn’t really know where to start… I felt that everyone else was a natural in the world of business.”

The commitment is intentionally small:

  • 2 hours per month on a live call
  • 2-3 hours per month of focused work

Instead of adding more work, the programme removes:

  • unnecessary admin
  • unclear processes
  • inefficient ways of working

“I’ve tried marketing before… it didn’t work”

Most people have – and that’s why they’re sceptical.

They’ve:

  • paid agencies
  • built websites that don’t convert
  • dabbled in SEO and social media
  • seen very little return

This is where it tends to go wrong.

Most approaches jump straight to marketing.

We take a step back and look at your practice first.

“Private Practice Ninja has been revolutionary in helping me understand my business and how to market effectively.”

We don’t start with tactics.

We start with:

  • what you actually want your practice to look like
  • who you actually want to see
  • how patients actually find you

And then build from there, because the goal is not “visibility”.

It’s:

the right patients booking into your clinic, consistently, and building a practice that supports your lifestyle, without the burnout.

“I don’t want to sound like a salesperson”

You shouldn’t (and I don’t want to either!)

Great marketing isn’t about being ‘salesy’

It’s about clarity and communication, and it’s not something you were taught in medical school or learned in the NHS.

“I’ve learned how to refine messaging, sharpen positioning, and translate complex ideas into language that actually works.”

“What about reputation, compliance, and doing things properly?”

This stuff matters. After all, you’re running a regulated clinical practice.

“Cath has helped me with business structure, legalities, GDPR, pricing and marketing… you get all the help and ‘know how’ you need.”

Everything is grounded in:

  • appropriate communication
  • structured systems
  • professional standards

So you’re not just growing -you’re building a ‘legit’ business.

“Why group coaching?”

This is where most people underestimate the value.

Because they assume:

“I’d get more from one-to-one.”

But what actually happens in a good group is different.

“It feels like a second family… a ready audience to bounce ideas off.”

“There is no ego, only clear, open and honest communication.”

“Fears and doubts were expressed, but not judged.”

You’re not just learning from one perspective.

You’re learning from:

  • multiple clinicians
  • different specialties
  • different experiences

And so often someone else asks the very same question that’s been in the back of your mind, or uncovered a problem you also need solving.

“What if I’m already doing well?”

This is where it gets interesting.

The Clinicians we coach aren’t struggling.

They’re already high-performing. They’re already doing well. But their private practice isn’t yet at its full potential.

“I wasn’t looking for motivation… I needed clarity, structure, and someone capable of challenging me at my own level.”

And the shift is subtle but powerful:

“Six months ago I was building a lot of things. Now I’m building with precision.”

The part most people don’t say out loud

It’s natural to feel hesitation.

  • “What if it doesn’t work for me?”
  • “What if I don’t implement properly?”
  • “What if I’m not cut out for this?”

That’s completely normal.

But looking back, our clients tell us:

“Working with Cath has been one of the most important professional investments I’ve made.”

“Everyone in Healthcare Private Practice should spend time with Private Practice Ninja.”

The real question

It’s not whether the Accelerator is worth it.

It’s whether you’re prepared to spend another year:

  • undercharging
  • under-utilised
  • and unclear on how to grow

Because that cost is always higher than you think.

If you’re considering it

You don’t need to decide everything today.

But you do need to take the next step.
